Except for the Great Lakes and the Northeast, travel conditions will generally be conducive for dinner out along with a movie. It will also be good travel for those people who have to rush out for last-minute candy, flowers and cards.
Snowy travel may force a change in plans from a night out to dinner and a movie at home across the Northeast, particularly in New England as another snowstorm takes aim at the region.
"The weather will be good for snuggling near a cozy fire with your significant other across the East," AccuWeather.com Meteorologist Mike Doll said.
A blast of arctic air moving into the Midwest, Great Lakes and Northeast will remain in place for Valentine's Day.
Temperatures will also be lower than average in the Southeast, Doll said.
After periods of unsettled weather, a high-pressure system will promote tranquil weather across the West.

Valentine's Day is the number one holiday for florists and fresh flower purchases, the Society of American Florists said on its About Flowers website.
Chocolate sales represent 75 percent or more of Valentine's Day candy purchases, according to the National Confectioners Association. More than 80 percent of Americans will share candy with family or friends on Valentine's Day.
And not including school valentines, Valentine's Day is the second biggest day for greeting card sales, the Greeting Card Association said.
